We are seeking a Provider Manager (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for our Dallas Fort-Worth market to support, develop, and lead our provider team while remaining clinically active in our urgent care clinics.

The Provider Manager role is designed for experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who are ready to expand their leadership impact while remaining clinically engaged. This position offers the opportunity to shape provider performance, influence operational strategy, and partner directly with Medical and Operational Leadership in driving market-level results.

This role includes dedicated administrative time each week to support leadership responsibilities, provider development, and operational oversight. Administrative time ensures leaders can effectively manage performance, scheduling strategy, quality initiatives, and team coaching without compromising clinical excellence or contributing to burnout.

As our organization continues to grow across Texas, this role serves as a key leadership pathway with exposure to regional decision-making and future expanded medical or operational leadership opportunities.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Clinical & Patient Care

  • Provide primary care services in clinic and via telemedicine.

  • Complete timely patient care, progress, and discharge documentation.

  • Maintain required clinical logs and compliance documentation.

Leadership & Team Support

  • Lead and support a team of approximately 40-50 NPs/PAs across 9 clinics in the DFW and Austin markets.

  • Serve as the primary clinical operations liaison between Providers, Medical Leadership, and People Operations

  • Influence staffing models, scheduling strategy, and quality initiatives

  • Participate in performance management discussions and development planning

  • Manage provider schedules to ensure appropriate clinic coverage.

  • Ensure accurate timekeeping and pay alignment in partnership with Payroll/People Operations.

  • Support provider recruitment in partnership with Talent Acquisition.

  • Assist with provider orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training.

  • Coach providers on best practices, quality measures, and performance expectations.

  • Collaborate with Medical Leadership and HR to provide feedback and support performance reviews.

Operational Excellence

  • Track key performance metrics and prepare reports as requested.

  • Support patient experience initiatives and assist with resolving patient concerns.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Positively represent Urgent Care for Kids in community and marketing initiatives.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EMR systems, and internet-based applications.

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.


Education & Experience

  • Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing as a licensed NP or PA (pediatric or urgent care experience preferred).

  • Prior leadership or management experience strongly preferred.


Compensation

Total Compensation: Estimated $135,000-$160,000 annually, based on clinical hours, leadership stipend, and experience
  • Clinical Hours: Paid at an hourly clinical rate.

  • Administrative Hours: Paid at a bi-weekly stipend (salary).
