We are looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with Urgent Care certification to join our pediatric clinics in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. If you value Passion, Humility, Adaptability, Nurture, and Experience, we want to hear from you!
In this role, you’ll collaborate with our physicians and clinic team to provide care for children. You’ll follow protocols and take responsibility for assessing, diagnosing, and initiating treatments and procedures.
The Role
We are seeking a warm, passionate, and organized Primary Care Nurse to join our DFW clinics. As an LVN or CMA, you will provide comprehensive care by gathering, tracking, and reinforcing treatment plans in coordination with the provider. You will review provider recommendations, connect patients with community resources, and monitor patient compliance to ensure a seamless care experience.
Core Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care plans in collaboration with providers.
- Conduct pre-visit planning, including reviewing vaccine records, referrals, health checks, lab orders (48 hours before visit).
- Participate in weekly/monthly vaccine reporting and yearly TVFC audits.
- Initiate and follow up on prior authorizations for prescriptions, DME, referrals, and procedures. Request specialist records as needed.
- Collect and input patient data, insurance, and financial information into the EMR system.
- Provide patient care, including gathering information, checking vitals, coordinating labs, and administering vaccines.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and referrals to specialists.
- Manage vaccine program and supplies per TVFC guidelines.
- Enroll and track patients for preventive and chronic condition management.
- Complete patient enrollment, registration, and screenings, including medical history and consent forms.
- Track and assist with imaging results.
- Conduct employee health clinics for catch-up vaccines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Passion for caring for children.
- LVN or CMA licensure required.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
- Texas Vaccine for Children Program (TVFC) experience required.
- Ability to draw blood (phlebotomy).
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to show empathy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of standard clinical procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
